Big Sky - Deena

In December 2007, Deena was found roaming the highways of Carbon County, Montana. Someone turned her in to the Beartooth Humane Alliance in Red Lodge and Diane Zook sent me the photos of a purebred red Aussie with an expression that said "What can I do for you today?"

I told Diane that I would keep her until she found a good home. I brought the red aussie home on January 5, 2008 and she started competing in agility in March. Deena was probably 3 years old when I got her and I don't think she'd ever been in a house or on a leash but she has a wonderful temperament, a great attitude and is happy to participate in any activity. By the end of 2008, she had earned Superior Novice titles in 4 out of 7 NADAC events. Deena qualified and placed at the 2009 NADAC Agility Championships in Shelbyville, TN and will compete at the 2010 Championships in Gillette, WY. She is a great example of the wonderful potential of a "rescued dog". And . . . it looks like she's found her home.
